About The Position

Ryder is immediately hiring a Warehouse Inventory Clerk Cycle Counter in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania. This position offers an hourly pay of $21.00, with an additional $1.50 per hour for third shift work. The schedule for the third shift is Wednesday from 12:00 am to 6:00 am, and Thursday through Saturday from 6:00 pm to 6:00 am. Ryder provides state-of-the-art equipment and a strong emphasis on safety, aiming to create the safest supply chain environment. Products handled include retail items, and the role may involve operating powered industrial equipment such as an order picker. Ryder supports distribution across the US with various warehouse fulfillment specialist roles.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • One (1) year or more previous warehouse experience preferred.
  • One (1) year or more experience operating forklift equipment preferred.
  • One (1) year or more Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, etc.) preferred.
  • Depending on location may be required to be equipment certified.
  • Ability to recognize and read location, date and product codes.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization (peers, work groups, customers, supervisors).
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
  • Flexibility to operate and self-driven to excel in a fast-paced environment.
  • Capable of multi-tasking, highly organized, with excellent time management skills.
  • Detail oriented with excellent follow up practices.
  • Some positions require additional screening that may include employment and education verification; motor vehicle records check and a road test; and/or badging or background requirements of the customer to which you are assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct cycle counts and inventory audits.
  • Conduct audits of inbound and outbound shipments.
  • Participate in physical inventories as necessary.
  • Provide floor support to Operation Supervisors and hourly associates regarding inventory issues.
  • Resolve inventory discrepancies as needed.
  • Maintain Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) with emphasis on safety.
  • Ensure inventory accuracy to meet client demands.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
