Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in supply chain, logistics, business, related field, or demonstrated work experience.
  • 3–5 years of experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, or a related analytical role within a distribution center environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct root cause analysis and communicate findings in a structured, data-driven format to operations or senior leadership.
  • Strong working knowledge of inventory adjustment processes including Recall, DAP, UDR, VFR, Salvage, and Donations.
  • Proficiency with WMS platforms; NTS experience strongly preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience owning a dedicated inventory or workflow area within a high-volume DC.
  • Familiarity with reporting / data querying (Excel, Power BI, SQL, etc.) and MS Office.
  • Ability to build and interpret inventory trend analysis.
  • Prior experience facilitating cross-functional projects with DC or operations leadership involvement.
  • Comfortable in leadership capacity during absence of direct management, and ability to make sound decisions with credibility.

Responsibilities

  • Own root cause analysis on large-value inventory adjustments and systemic cycle count variances, producing thorough documentation that supports resolution, quantifies impact, and prevents recurrence.
  • Manage and execute Recall, DAP, UDR, VFR, Salvage, and Donation protocols with full process fluency, ensuring adjustments are accurate and compliant.
  • Translate quantitative findings into concise, evidence-based narratives for DC leadership.
  • Maintain full ownership of the assigned temp zone within the DC, including daily workflow guidance, adjustment oversight, and issue resolution.
  • Conduct cycle counter audits to assess count integrity and adherence, partnering with the DC IC Manager on coaching opportunities.
  • Prioritize daily IC tasks based on business needs, balancing urgent operational demands against longer-horizon deliverables.
  • Establish a bi-weekly meeting cadence with the Site Director, focused on temp zone issues and collaborative problem solving.
  • Maintain daily connects with Cycle Counter and Sr. Cycle Counter staff to align on priorities and surface emerging issues.
  • Act as IC representative in cross-functional settings, identifying operational issues and communicating data-driven solutions to DC leadership.
  • Serve as proxy for the DC IC Manager in meetings with Site and/or Area Directors.
  • Own at least one active cross-functional IC project with DC partnership, driving from problem definition through implementation.
  • Execute ad hoc project assignments from the IC Manager with analytical rigor and structured thinking.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of IC processes, documentation, and reporting standards.
  • Serve as the assigned mentor for the Sr. Cycle Counter, meeting weekly to address development needs and support their progression.
  • Model the standard of data literacy, operational ownership, and cross-functional accountability expected at the IC Analyst level, acting as a leadership resource when the DC IC Manager is unavailable.
