About The Position

As a Warehouse Helper Intern, you will assist in the day-to-day operations of our equipment parts warehouse. This opportunity offers valuable hands-on experience in the construction industry and provides opportunities for learning and skill development. Our Construction Equipment Group is currently seeking a Part-time Parts Warehouse Intern for our Batavia, NY branch.

Ability to interface with customers in a professional and courteous manner
Computer programs - Epicor/Silk systems, shipping software such as UPS Worldwide and FedEx
Basic Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations, to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Basic Mathematical Skills: Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
Basic Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Responsibilities

Assist in receiving and organizing incoming parts.
Maintain accurate records of inventory level and locations.
Conduct regular inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies.
Adhere to all safety procedures and protocols while working in the warehouse.
Participate in safety training sessions and promote a culture of safety awareness among colleagues.
Report any safety hazards or incidents to supervisors immediately.
Help maintain a clean and organized warehouse/yard environment.
Assist in labeling shelves, bins, and storage areas for efficient retrieval of parts.
Performs other duties as assigned
Consistent, regular, and reliable attendance including being ready for work at the designated start time
