CDL Yard Driver | Daytime | Mon - Thurs
About The Position
OnTrac is hiring a Warehouse Hostler / Yard Driver. This role is responsible for safely positioning and maneuvering trailers to and from the dock, working closely with the yard team and Operations Management. This position supports a brand-new location opening soon, offering the chance to help build and shape the team from day one. The pay is $27.50 per hour, with a shift from Monday - Thursday from 10 AM - 8:30 PM. Hours are subject to change depending on business needs. Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred or one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of both
- Minimum 1-year driving experience, preferably with trailers or towed machinery
- Must successfully complete all pre-employment screenings and background checks
- Must be at least 18 years old, possess a clean driving record, valid identification and be able to pass a TSA screening
- Must be able to provide a 5-year to 10-year Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
- Basic English language proficiency (spoken and written) required for understanding safety and operational instructions in a fast-paced warehouse environment

Responsibilities
- Maintain and contribute to a safe work environment as outlined in the Company Safety Program
- Properly pre-trip and inspect each trailer to meet DOT compliance standards
- Correctly position trailers on the dock using a yard switcher tractor
- Switching trailers as needed during the daily sort; hook up sets of trailers for line hauls leaving the facility
- Clearly communicate trailer moves and numbers with operations management
