About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Warehouse Hostler / Yard Driver to join our team. This role is crucial for maintaining the smooth flow of operations within our warehouse facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for moving trailers within the yard, ensuring timely departures and arrivals, and performing pre-trip and post-trip inspections. This position requires attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• Valid Driver's License.
• Previous experience as a yard driver, hostler, or similar role is preferred.
• Ability to operate yard trucks and other warehouse equipment.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and safety procedures.
• Strong understanding of warehouse operations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must be able to work the specified shift: Tuesday - Saturday from 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM.
• Physical ability to perform job duties, including climbing in and out of the vehicle and occasional lifting.

Nice To Haves

• CDL Class A license.
• Experience with trailer spotting.

Responsibilities

• Operate yard truck (hostler) to move trailers within the warehouse yard.
• Ensure trailers are positioned correctly for loading and unloading.
• Coordinate with shipping and receiving departments to manage trailer movements.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections on yard equipment.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Report any equipment issues or safety concerns immediately.
• Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
