About The Position

A Warehouse employee is essentially a jack-of-all trades at our warehouse. While the specific duties may vary a bit, the general role of the outside laborer is to help in the loading, organizing and storage of all parts or units on the lot. The Company expects and requires all employees to observe and fulfill all safety responsibilities as outlined in workplace safety training, and actively work toward maintaining a safe workplace. Failure to do so can result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment. Regular attendance and punctuality are required of all employees. Requirements

  • Forklift Operator: (Required)
  • Material handling: 2 years (Required); Understanding level of Safety Data Sheets, HAZMAT
  • Driver's license (Required)
  • HS Diploma or GED (Required)
  • Ability to handle weights up to 50 pounds frequently.
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow verbal directions in English
  • Must be punctual, have a good attendance record, and have a reliable means of transportation to work

Nice To Haves

  • Small equipment repair experience (Preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Loading and unloading of pallets and cases from trucks by hand (at minimum of 50lbs) or equipment.
  • Palletize, wrap, and band products for outbound shipment.
  • Use material handling equipment, including but not limited to Forklift and Powered Pallet Jacks, will certify on equipment.
  • Organize warehouse storage space effectively and work in a clean and orderly manner at all times.
  • Maintain accuracy of storage locations by performing daily cycle counts and routine inventory maintenance tasks.
  • Receive shipments/deliveries and examine shipment contents and compare with records such as manifests, invoices, or orders to verify accuracy.
  • Adheres to safety, quality, and process standards.
  • Pick, pack, receive, and move.
  • Use basic interpersonal skills in accomplishing tasks.
  • Patrol entire facility/property for trash and discard appropriately.
  • Sweep all outside walkways and entire shop, dump trash and keep floors picked up.
  • Maintain steel rack, pipe racks, nut and bolt racks, and all others racks clean and organized.
  • Wind up all hoses and electrical cords not being used.
  • Bring all vehicles/boats in/out of the shop, as directed.
  • Make deliveries or pick-ups, as needed.
  • Assist other shop personnel, when needed.
  • Follow instructions quickly, safely, and accurately.
  • All other warehouse activities deemed necessary during day-to-day operations.
  • Participates in Safety and Environmental initiatives that will contribute to compliance of State/Federal regulations and improve existing Company programs.
