About The Position

This role assists in organizing and directing warehouse workers in the Stock Yards area to provide exceptional customer service. The primary focus is on ensuring on-time trucks and maintaining product flow from shipping, receiving, and cooler maintenance. The position also requires compliance with food safety, regulatory, and quality programs, and may involve assisting in other departments as directed by management.

Requirements

High school graduate or GED preferred.
Basic English reading, writing, and math skills.
Ability to work continually in a refrigerated environment (35°F-45°F).
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a food manufacturing environment.
Certified to operate forklift and other warehouse operations power equipment as defined by OSHA rules and regulations.

Responsibilities

Provides backup assistant manager support.
Develops and maintains an understanding of warehouse and operations, ensuring work is performed with urgency and in compliance with quality systems.
Monitors the warehouse workforce to ensure work direction and maximize efficiencies.
Provides training support to production staff as directed.
Seeks improved operating methods to increase productivity and lower costs.
Maintains a clean and orderly cut shop and practices safety procedures.
Portrays the company in a positive image.
Develops and maintains an understanding of production operations.
Works in harmony with colleagues to achieve optimal production.
Completes work forms and paperwork accurately, related to product movement and job standards.
Ensures work area is kept clean, organized, and safe.
Participates in periodic staff and other meetings as necessary.
Participates in and completes required training and development programs.
Performs miscellaneous tasks as required by management.
