About The Position

A Warehouse Group Leader (or Team Lead) acts as a frontline supervisor, overseeing daily operations, staff, and workflows to ensure accurate, safe, and timely receiving, storage, and shipping of goods. They bridge the gap between management and warehouse staff, handling, training, inventory control, and troubleshooting operational issues, often working on the floor alongside their team.

Requirements

Generally 3-5 years of warehouse experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
Proficiency in WMS (Warehouse Management Systems) and software such as Excel, and Outlook.
Capability to operate warehouse machinery, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, or reach trucks.
Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with staff, management, and other departments.
Ability to stand for long periods, walk for 10,000+ steps per day, and frequently lift up to 30 lbs or more.

Bilingual in (English and Spanish) preferred.

Responsibilities

Maintain a safe work environment by enforcing 6S program (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain, Safety) and compliance with OSHA and company policies.
Direct daily warehouse activities, including shipping, receiving, picking, packing, and inventory control.
Assign tasks, train new hires, and coach staff on warehouse management systems (WMS), safety protocols, and company procedures.
Audit inbound/outbound shipments and perform cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
Monitor KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) and adjust staffing or workflows to meet productivity goals and deadlines.
Investigate discrepancies in shipping/receiving, equipment malfunctions, and customer issues.
