About The Position

Franklin Logistics is seeking a motivated and safety-focused individual to join their team as a Warehouse General Laborer/Sanitation. This role is crucial for maintaining an organized and clean warehouse environment, ensuring products are accurately labeled, staged, and stored according to company and customer requirements. The position involves hands-on tasks such as labeling, organizing, and cleaning, with opportunities for growth and skill development, including forklift certification. This is a full-time, hourly, non-exempt position that may involve working across multiple locations. The ideal candidate enjoys staying busy, is detail-oriented, and works well independently and as part of a team. You will be responsible for applying labels, verifying product information, following FIFO guidelines, and maintaining a clean and safe work area. The role requires physical activity, including standing, bending, reaching, and walking, and the ability to lift up to 40 lbs. You will report directly to the site supervisor and work in a fast-paced warehouse setting.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous warehouse or general labor experience is a plus but not required.
  • Ability to read and interpret labels, product documentation, and basic inventory information.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
  • Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs. as needed. Team Lifting is required for weight 50 lbs. and over.
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality required.

Nice To Haves

  • Forklift certification within the first year.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately apply internal and customer-specified labels to products as they are received into the warehouse.
  • Verify product information to ensure correct labeling and identification.
  • Assist operator in organizing and staging products for storage and shipment following FIFO guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate records of labeled inventory and report discrepancies or damaged goods.
  • Assist in sorting and positioning products based on date codes, lot numbers, or receiving sequence to support FIFO compliance.
  • Work collaboratively with team members and communicate effectively with supervisors regarding workflow and any issues.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with safety and operational standards.
  • Follow all company policies, safety protocols, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Clean up and remove trash/debris from inside and outside of facility.
  • Sweep, mop, dust and wipe down breakroom, restrooms, interior of facility.
  • Use of push behind or riding scrubber to clean warehouse floors.
  • Use of cleaning tools to remove dust and debris from walls, racks, and other items.
  • General housekeeping duties in production areas.
  • Become certified to operate 5K Forklift.
  • Move and stack materials as directed by site supervisor (once forklift certified).
  • Comply with and adhere to all safety policies and regulations.
