About The Position

As a Box Sorter, you will be responsible for manually processing and sorting boxes to meet PLA's quality standards and production goals. This role involves breaking down, inspecting, stickering, and palletizing boxes.   • Requires good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for breaking down, inspecting, and stickering boxes.
  • Ability to hear and understand verbal instructions and safety alarms in a warehouse environment.
  • Good vision for inspecting boxes and performing sorting tasks accurately.

Responsibilities

  • Breaking down boxes that are not received in a broken-down state.
  • Inspecting boxes for damage and assessing their suitability for reuse.
  • Slickening boxes acceptable for reuse by covering their barcodes.
  • Palletizing sorted boxes efficiently by size.
  • Meeting or exceeding daily production requirements, with a standard expectation of at least one pallet per hour.
  • Maintaining a clean and orderly work area throughout the shift.
  • Complying with all PLA policies and procedures, as well as federal and state safety rules.
  • Assisting with other duties as assigned to support and improve overall team operations.
