Warehouse Fulfillment Specialist Full Time
About The Position
BJ’s Wholesale Club is seeking a Warehouse Fulfillment Specialist to perform general warehouse activities. This role involves pulling merchandise from pick lists, moving it to a staging area, using a handheld scanner to verify counts and update locations, and operating equipment. The Omni Experience Ambassador will also be involved in digital initiatives such as BOPIC, Curbside, Express Pay, and Ship from Club. Team members should understand how to access and read performance reporting and see the connection between consistent execution and business impact.
Requirements
- Previous order pulling experience preferred.
- Big box/wholesale retail experience preferred.
- Previous RF scanner experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Processes member purchases by pulling merchandise from a pick list using a handheld scanner device (RF).
- Verifies merchandise counts and updates merchandise locations using the RF device.
- Moves merchandise from the sales floor to the staging area.
- Communicates inventory and/or equipment problems, including expired or short-dated items.
- Communicates with the club team when merchandise needs to be replenished.
- Works with the team to pull merchandise from the reserve area to avoid sales floor replenishment.
- Ensures all orders are picked in a timely manner to meet productivity requirements and deadlines.
- Follows operational efficiencies, processes, and productivity standards, adhering to established SOP for BOPIC, Curbside, and Ship from Club.
- Takes responsibility for individual performance and works with club leadership on performance metrics.
- Securely packages orders in accordance with standard operating procedures.
- Ensures the SFC area is neat, clean, and organized.
- Performs general housekeeping duties, including removing trash and cardboard.
- Handles damaged goods and spoiled products according to standard operating procedures.
- Processes returns to the club and determines how to handle them.
- Maintains all club policies and procedures, including dress code standards.
- Meets OMNI productivity expectations regarding service level agreements (SLAs), performance metrics, and goals.
- Performs other duties as assigned, including working in other departments as needed.
- Maintains regular, predictable, full attendance, which is an essential function of the job.
