About The Position

Warehouse Forklift Operators maneuver powered industrial equipment to move cases and pallets and place them in assigned warehouse slots. They move product from receiving docks to reserve locations and replenish pick locations as Warehouse Selectors empty them, pulling product from reserve locations. Operators rotate inventory by using the most dated inventory first, help maintain a clean warehouse, and sweep out empty slots. They may occasionally fill in for Warehouse Selectors or other positions as business needs demand. The listed responsibilities are not all-inclusive, and additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to work nights.
• Ability to work weekends, holidays, and extended periods of time.
• Successfully complete a Work Attitude Survey.
• Obtain certification in pallet truck and forklift operations on or before the start date in the position.
• Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time.
• Ability to bend, stoop, and twist.
• Ability to operate a pallet truck or forklift without any part of the body exposed outside the operator compartment.
• Ability to stack product of varying weights.
• Ability to work under strict time requirements.
• Ability to read, write, identify, and verify numbers.
• Ability to interpret, understand, and follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Operate powered industrial equipment to move cases and pallets and place them in assigned warehouse slots.
• Move product from receiving docks to reserve locations.
• Replenish pick locations from reserve locations as they are emptied by Warehouse Selectors.
• Rotate inventory using the most dated inventory first.
• Help maintain a clean warehouse and sweep out empty slots.
• Occasionally fill in for Warehouse Selectors or other positions as business needs demand.

Benefits

• Holiday bonus in November for associates who remain employed through the bonus check issue date: 15 hours of pay in the first year of continuous employment, one week's pay in the second year, and two weeks' pay in subsequent years.
• Starting pay is $1.00 to $2.00 above the pay range minimum, depending on experience or applicable skill level.
