About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Forklift Operator to join our team in Harrisonburg, VA. This role is crucial for maintaining a safe and efficient warehouse environment. You will be responsible for operating forklifts to load and unload materials, ensuring accurate inventory counts, and maintaining a clean and safe workspace. We offer both 12-hour day shifts and 8-hour night shifts, with opportunities for overtime and weekend work.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Possession of a valid state driver’s license
• Pre-employment background check, drug test, and physical are required

Nice To Haves

• 1 year of Forklift experience (specific standup or sit down) in a warehouse or manufacturing environment
• Familiarity with RFID
• Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems
• Strong teamwork skills
• Self-motivator
• Must be able to work overtime, days and/or evenings, and weekends
• Ability to read numbers and labels
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to pay close attention to details and meet deadlines
• Ability to safety lift up to 60 lbs. frequently

Responsibilities

• Promote safe work environment through personal actions
• Load and unload trucks and containers using equipment provided in safe and efficient manner
• Check and count freight for accuracy and/or damage.
• Take inventory as needed
• Direct product to correct area in warehouse
• Clear work area of loose wood and plastic, sweep area as needed
• Report faulty equipment, damage to racks, and other safety hazards to supervisor
• Other duties as assigned
