About The Position

The Receiving Equipment Operator is responsible for accurately putting away product in the designated locations throughout the Distribution Center. The operators utilize a cherry picker style lift and RF scanners in order to successfully complete their duties. This role requires the safe operation of a cherry picker lift, utilization of RF scanners for product identification and location, loading staged product, and moving product into storage racks. The position also involves cooperating with team members, contributing to a positive company culture, and performing other assigned duties. The schedule is Monday - Friday with Saturdays as needed, starting at 2:00 pm.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience in a Warehouse environment.
  • Must have experience operating forklift and/or cherry picker equipment.
  • Comfortable with heights up to 40ft. in the air.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours as determined by the needs of the department, including availability for weekends as needed.
  • Ability to communicate proactively and effectively including comprehending and communicating detailed instructions, reading and writing, and having knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures as required by the position.
  • Must be at least 18 years old to be considered for employment with Bob’s.
  • Able to sit, walk, stand, bend, stoop, kneel, reach, twist, push, pull, climb, balance, crouch, push and handle and move items weighing up to 50 lbs without assistance.
  • Ability to move throughout all areas of the distribution center.
  • Move objects up to 250 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodations.
  • Stand and walk continuously to perform job functions.
  • General understanding of warehouse or distribution center operations.
  • Safely and efficiently operate forklift and/or cherry picker equipment.
  • Ability to communicate proactively and effectively including comprehending and communicating detailed instructions, reading and writing, and having knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures as required by the position.
  • Ability and willingness to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate a Cherry Picker lift up to 40ft. in the air.
  • Utilize RF scanners in order to identify and locate product.
  • Load staged product from dock area onto cherry picker lift.
  • Move product from lift into proper location on the storage racks.
  • Cooperate with team members to complete tasks and set goals.
