About The Position

Tropic Supply is seeking a dedicated Warehouse Associate and Sit-Down Forklift Operator who is detail-oriented, takes ownership, and ensures work is done correctly. This is a full-time, hands-on, physical role within one of Florida's largest independent HVAC and refrigeration distribution operations. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring uninterrupted service to 23 locations and the contractors who rely on them. Requirements

• Hands-on experience operating a sit-down forklift, required. This is not a trainable requirement.
• Demonstrated warehouse experience in a distribution, supply, or logistics environment
• Working knowledge of RF scanning equipment, warehouse management systems, and basic computer operations
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds consistently throughout a shift and sustain physical activity in a non-climate-controlled environment
• Strong attention to detail with a track record of order and inventory accuracy
• Clear communication and a reliable work ethic that does not require constant supervision
• Follows process correctly and asks when unsure, rather than guessing
• Takes pride in physical work done right, not just done fast
• Treats a wrong pull or a missed serial number as a problem worth catching, not something to shrug off
• Shows up ready, stays accountable, and can be counted on without being told twice

Responsibilities

• Load and unload trucks and trailers, positioning and securing pallets safely
• Pull and fill orders with precision, then stage and wrap them for shipment
• Receive and stock incoming inventory, and complete basic shipping and receiving documentation
• Verify parts, serial numbers, and paperwork against physical inventory at every step
• Support cycle counts and inventory audits
• Operate a sit-down forklift, pallet jacks, and hand trucks, including required pre-shift equipment checks
• Assist counter sales with order fulfillment and help customers load product
• Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and running to standard
