About The Position
The Warehouse Forklift Operator is responsible for loading outbound trucks, unloading and putting away inbound merchandise, and performing clean-up duties. This role requires the ability to operate a forklift safely and efficiently, assist with inventory counts, and check in merchandise. The position is part of a team dedicated to ensuring smooth warehouse operations.
Requirements
- Ability to read and write to follow written instructions and shipping papers.
- Ability to fill in corrections and needed information.
- Analytical skills to use thinking and reasoning to solve problems.
- Ability to pass our forklift operators test after a normal training procedure.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of building materials is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Loads outbound trucks.
- Unloads and puts away inbound merchandise.
- Pulls customers’ orders from inventory.
- Loads company and customer vehicles with outbound materials.
- Safely operates a forklift to assist in handling of materials.
- Sweeps and cleans warehouse and picks up trash.
- Observes all safety rules (e.g., safety glasses, ear plugs, Lock Out/Tag Out).
- Assists in counting inventory.
- Checks in merchandise from receiving documentation.
