About The Position

The Warehouse Worker will be working in an animal feed industry distribution warehouse, doing order pulling utilizing a propane fueled forklift and customer service. This is a full-time, regular position with a day shift. The salary range is $19.00 to $20.00 per hour.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent work experience
• Ability to lift up to 80 pounds and carry up to 10 feet (e.g., sack feed bag).
• Basic computer skills
• Order Pulling- Must be able to read, write, and understand English.
• Methods and techniques for safe work practices
• Basic recordkeeping practices
• Forklift Operations
• Ability to perform daily safety inspections and identify safety hazards
• Ability to perform basic mathematical problems (add, subtract, multiply, divide)
• Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with co-workers and customers
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions; problem solve
• Ability to communicate effectively in English (verbal/written)
• Ability to complete written work orders legibly and keep records to coordinate feed schedules
• Ability to contribute to a positive work environment
• Demonstrate good organization skills

Nice To Haves

• Previous feed store experience a plus

Responsibilities

• Build pallets using forklift to pull order and load customer trucks
• Utilize computer system to receive ingredients/components and ship finished feed
• Understand and utilize the basic inventory management concept of FIFO (first in, first out) when dealing with product within the warehouse
• Maintain required documentation associated with all departments
• After appropriate training and certification, operate a forklift, including pre-trip duties
• Perform general housekeeping of warehouse area to meet OSHA standards, as well as a clean and safe working environment
• Perform quality inspections
• Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned
