About The Position

The Warehouse Forklift Operator is responsible for safely handling, staging, and loading finished goods for outbound shipments while ensuring the correct product, quantities, and pallet configurations are loaded onto the appropriate trucks. This position plays a critical role in shipping accuracy, inventory control, customer satisfaction, and overall warehouse efficiency.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a warehouse environment.
  • Previous forklift operation experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment required.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately verify product codes, quantities, labels, and shipment information.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining shipping accuracy and safety standards.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors, warehouse staff, drivers, and production personnel.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to safely operate forklifts and material handling equipment.
  • Ability to stand and walk for the entire shift
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, twist, and perform repetitive movements throughout the shift.
  • Ability to safely lift, move, and carry up to 50 pounds as needed.
  • Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled warehouse and manufacturing environment with exposure to heat, noise, dust, and moving equipment.
  • Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed to support production and shipping demands.

Nice To Haves

  • Basic understanding of shipping documents, inventory processes, and warehouse procedures preferred.
  • Forklift certification preferred or ability to become certified.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment to move, stage, load, and unload materials and finished goods.
  • Verify outbound shipments to ensure the correct product, quantities, labels, pallet counts, and customer orders are loaded onto the correct truck.
  • Review shipping paperwork, load sheets, packing slips, and product labels for accuracy prior to shipment.
  • Stage finished goods in designated shipping areas according to shipping schedules and load requirements.
  • Inspect pallets, packaging, and product condition prior to loading and report any damaged or incorrect materials immediately.
  • Ensure proper load configuration and secure loads to prevent damage during transport.
  • Maintain accurate inventory movement and product rotation within the warehouse.
  • Assist with receiving, storage, and organization of materials and finished goods as needed.
  • Follow all forklift safety procedures, GMP requirements, food safety standards, and company safety policies.
  • Conduct pre-shift forklift inspections and report equipment issues or safety concerns promptly.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts to improve shipping accuracy, efficiency, and warehouse organization.
  • Perform additional warehouse and shipping duties as assigned by management.
