About The Position

We are looking for a Warehouse Forklift Driver in La Crosse, WI. The Warehouse Forklift Driver-Warehouse performs all tasks involved in efficient and effective operation of the warehouse, following Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and practicing safe work habits to ensure the warehouse environment is as efficient and safe as possible. Warehouse/Forklift Drivers are expected to be available to work in all areas of the warehouse. Monday through Friday 7am to 3pm.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • No experience required; in-house training provided.
  • Previous work experience in a warehouse environment preferred.
  • SCS Forklift Driver Certification as required by OSHA.
  • Work performed accurately, reliably, thoroughly, timely, and within safety guidelines
  • Effectively communicates and develops good working relationships with all employees.
  • Follow one- or two-step verbal instructions; read and follow written instructions; perform routine and repetitive tasks and carry out detailed but uncomplicated written or verbal instructions.
  • Ability to follow written, verbal and diagrammatic instructions; complete simple checklists and complete required documentation.
  • Ability to solve problems by adapting knowledge and experience.
  • Basic math plus fractions, decimals and percentages.
  • Basic computer operational skills; able to input and retrieve computerized information.
  • Demonstrate functional and technical knowledge, ability to learn new skills quickly, and achieve a high level of accomplishment.
  • Maintain updated knowledge and understanding of federal and state laws, regulations, procedures, and standards.
  • Exhibit a professional manner in dealing with others and work to maintain constructive working relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that Standard Operating Procedures for truck-loading procedures are consistently adhered to.
  • Ensure that Standard Operating Procedures for freight receiving procedures are consistently adhered to.
  • Ensure the warehouse is properly organized and that products are scanned into correct locations.
  • Read ingredients and count bags on pallets.
  • Complete necessary paperwork to ensure all documentation requirements met during shipping/receiving process.
  • Mentor new Warehouse/Forklift Drivers.
  • Floating to different locations as needed.
  • Contact with Production, Inventory, and Quality Assurance to obtain and provide information.
  • Contact with federal/state/regulatory inspectors on an annual basis.
  • Understand and adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices and Safety Protocol.
  • Stop any observed unsafe acts and obey facility safety rules and procedures.
  • Correct or report any observed safety hazards.
  • Support safety policies and programs.
