About The Position

AMVAC's Warehouse Floor Lead is responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations, coordinating shipping and receiving activities, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring all inbound and outbound documentation is completed accurately and efficiently. The Warehouse Floor Lead promotes safe work practices, supports operational excellence, and helps ensure production and shipping goals are met. AMVAC's manufacturing facility is located in Axis, Alabama and operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Requirements

  • Strong leadership, delegation, and organizational skills.
  • Forklift certification required.
  • Ability to work rotating 12-hour day/night shifts, weekends, and overtime as needed.
  • Strong commitment to safety and environmental compliance.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to perform minor maintenance tasks.
  • Ability to climb stairs and lift up to 70 pounds.
  • Excellent attendance, dependability, and communication skills.
  • Must successfully complete required physical examination, drug screening, monthly blood draw program, random drug testing, and pre-employment background check.

Nice To Haves

  • 0–6 months of warehouse/storeroom experience preferred.
  • 6–12 months of manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Prior supervisory or lead experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates daily warehouse shipping and receiving activities and assigns work to warehouse personnel.
  • Maintains accurate inventory records and ensures products are properly labeled.
  • Inspects inbound and outbound shipments for damage and resolves documentation discrepancies.
  • Inspects trailers and containers before loading and unloading.
  • Monitors shipment schedules to ensure timely loading, unloading, and paperwork completion.
  • Maintains Bills of Lading (BOLs), receiving documents, and daily warehouse records.
  • Safely operates forklifts and material handling equipment in accordance with company policies.
  • Loads and unloads trailers safely and efficiently.
  • Escorts vendors and contractors when required.
  • Maintains warehouse housekeeping and surrounding grounds.
  • Ensures compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and environmental requirements.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned by management.
