About The Position
The Warehouse Floater performs a variety of functions including but not limited to; industrial forklift/reach truck/high-lift operation, product selection, receiving and palletizing while adhering to USDA Safety and Sanitation Regulations and customer specifications. This role requires working continually in cooler (35°F- 45°F) & freezer (-10°F to +10°F), with company apparel provided.
Requirements
- High School graduate or GED preferred
- Basic Reading, Writing and Math skills
- Prior experience operating a forklift/high-lift is required
- Minimum six months warehouse experience required
- Ability to frequently lift 20lbs. - 80lbs.
- Work overtime as needed
Responsibilities
- Operate forklift/reach truck to lower stock to ground level pick slots from higher level reserve slots
- Identify and transport material to and from storage areas and loading docks
- Place received stock in higher level reserve slots
- Perform operations and safety checks, including battery, brakes, and lift controls
- Select and pack (Selection) orders per customer specification
- Scan product as directed to capture required data
- Ship and receive product utilizing assigned material handling equipment
- Complete miscellaneous other duties as assigned by management
