About The Position

The Warehouse and Facilities Associate position supports the efficient operation of the warehouse by ensuring materials, equipment and supplies are accurately received, organized, maintained and available to support operations. This position is responsible for warehouse inventory activities, preparing equipment and materials for daily installations, delivering parts and supplies to installers in the field, and performing routine facilities maintenance to maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment. This position reports to the Manager of Procurement and Facilities.

Requirements

  • High school education or equivalent.
  • Ability to operate a motor vehicle and maintain a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Be forklift certified or has the ability to successfully complete forklift certification.
  • Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Windows applications.
  • Strong work ethics and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Comfort using basic hand tools and performing physical tasks.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in general labor, facilities work, or warehouse environments is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and stage equipment, materials, accessories, and required documentation for upcoming installations, verifying all required components are available prior to scheduled work. Collaborate with the Customer Solutions Coordinator to ensure that proper documentation is in place.
  • Collaborates with HVAC installers with loading and unload installation job-specific materials and equipment at VGS premises.
  • Deliver parts, tools, equipment, and supplies to field technicians at job sites, as required.
  • Participates in day-to-day warehouse activities including the receipt, distribution, and delivery of materials and supplies, and recording related transactions.
  • Accurately process inventory transactions and maintain records within the company's inventory system.
  • Pick up, organize, and reconfigure stock to support procurement operations.
  • Remove obsolete or outdated parts from inventory systems.
  • Maintain a clean, orderly, and efficient stockroom and warehouse environment.
  • Supports inventory accuracy by participating in monthly cycle counts, timely transaction processing, reconciliation of records and identification and resolution of inventory discrepancies.
  • Identify opportunities to improve warehouse organization, inventory management, and operational efficiency.
  • Perform general facilities maintenance, including painting, weed abatement, and material organization.
  • Support routine upkeep of pool vehicles, including cleaning and basic maintenance tasks.
  • Demonstrate safe work practices at all times and comply with all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Report any unsafe, unusual, or concerning conditions following standard company protocols.
  • Represent the company professionally when interacting with customers, vendors, and business partners.
  • Perform other duties as required or requested.
