This position is for a Warehouse Equipment Operator on the 1st Shift, with hours available Monday through Friday from 6:00 AM to 10:00 AM or 10:30 AM to 2:30 PM. The role involves assisting in the production of book fairs by packing and unpacking cases, boxes, and displays with book and non-book product according to corporate procedures, while meeting productivity and quality standards. Responsibilities include demonstrating proficiency in packing all components, meeting production and quality standards, ensuring the condition of outbound cases, monitoring inventory levels, and learning basic scanner proficiency. The role also includes picking and packing customer reorders, maintaining a clean work area, participating in seasonal inventory resets, learning Fair Finishing and Assembly functions, assisting in Physical Inventory, and participating in Customer Appreciation Warehouse Sale Events. Careful handling of all merchandise, proper utilization of warehouse equipment and tools, and reporting of unsafe conditions or injuries are crucial. The position requires utilizing proper techniques for lifting, packing, handling heavy objects, climbing ladders, and pushing/pulling display cases. Accurate and timely completion of Labor Data Collection Cards is necessary. Operation of motorized pallet jacks is possible upon completion of training. Maintaining attendance, punctuality, and a positive relationship with co-workers and customers is expected, along with compliance with the drug and alcohol-free policy. Other duties may be assigned.
