This role performs all activities, duties and responsibilities associated with warehousing to include shipping and receiving of finished goods, reworking damaged products, operating mobile equipment, and the use of electronic barcode scanners. Must be able to communicate and understand oral and written English instructions with general math abilities.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Follow both verbal and written instructions
  • Operation of a variety of production equipment
  • Communication and inter-personal skills necessary to interact with co-workers, supervisors, truck drivers and customers.
  • Knowledge of Safety rules and regulations
  • Certified Forklift Operator or ability to certify within 30 days.
  • Ability to lift 50lbs frequently.
  • Reliable transportation to and from work.

Nice To Haves

  • Front end loader experience a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Perform all warehousing work in a safe and efficient manner, complying with all Health and Safety programs, policies and procedures.
  • Hold the safety of oneself and others in the highest regard.
  • Operate all mobile material-handling equipment per manufacturer’s specifications, OSHA regulations and Company policies (forklifts, front-end loader, electric and manual pallet jacks).
  • Operate bag-filling and sealing equipment safely and efficiently, ensuring correct bag weights and presence of date and lot codes.
  • Palletize, stretch-wrap, and label product in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Operate all bulk-loading equipment and conveying systems to load pneumatic and open style trucks.
  • Exercise good warehousing practices for both bulk and packaged products to maximize storage availability.
  • Assist with minor maintenance activities when required or requested.
  • Actively engage in good housekeeping and cleanup activities for buildings, floors, property and equipment.
  • Perform any other miscellaneous and reasonable duties and functions assigned or directed by the Warehouse Supervisor or Manager.
  • Maintain Quality records.
  • Perform inspections of incoming, outgoing bulk and packaged trucks/trailers when needed.
