About The Position

Fern is a leading company in the trade show and expo service industry, with operations in over 200 cities. We are seeking a Warehouse Associate to join our Cincinnati team. This role is crucial for supporting daily warehouse operations, ensuring accurate inventory handling, efficient material staging, and adherence to safety standards. The Warehouse Team Member will collaborate with warehouse leadership to prepare, track, and manage materials and equipment for successful show execution. The position requires full-time, on-site presence and the willingness to join the union after 90 days. The pay rate is $19.80 per hour.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 2-3 years of warehouse or related experience
  • Forklift certification required (or ability to obtain)
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in trade shows, events, construction, or general services industries
  • Familiarity with exhibit systems and project-based material coordination
  • Basic computer skills (inventory systems, Excel, etc.)
  • CDL License is preferred but not required

Responsibilities

  • Pull and stage stock items (e.g., Flex Frame and similar exhibit systems) for trade show production
  • Receive, label, store, and organize materials and equipment
  • Maintain an efficient warehouse layout to support quick and accurate fulfillment
  • Track materials used on jobs and maintain accurate inventory records
  • Support cycle counts and inventory audits to ensure accuracy
  • Contribute to maintaining current and reliable inventory systems and receiving logs
  • Notify warehouse leadership about material needs and shortages
  • Prepare and stage materials for upcoming shows and client projects
  • Assist with loading and unloading shipments as needed
  • Monitor and enforce warehouse safety procedures and SOPs
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment
  • Comply with company policies and applicable safety regulations
  • Learn and follow warehouse procedures and best practices
  • Participate in ongoing training to enhance skills and operational knowledge
  • Maintain accurate and legible records, logs, and documentation
  • Contribute to workload planning and operational improvements
  • Perform other duties as assigned
