About The Position

Drives tractor/trailer combination to transport and deliver products and materials between the main brewery and offsite warehouse. This role involves operating a forklift or hand truck for material handling, maintaining driver logs, and utilizing WMS and SAP systems for inventory management. The driver ensures timely material transfers between departments and adheres to inventory rotation principles. Cleaning duties related to Good Brewery Practices and the warehouse Master Sanitation Schedule are also part of the responsibilities. The position may also involve backfilling duties for the Shipping and Receiving Clerk.

Requirements

  • Class CDL-A License is required.
  • Must be an enthusiastic team player.
  • Must have a good safety record.
  • Candidates need to be able to lift up to 100 pounds, be able to twist and turn, be able to reach over your shoulders, and work in standing/walking/crouching position at a steady pace.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Shipping and Receiving experience is a plus.
  • Forklift experience is a plus.
  • Experience using an inventory software system such as SAP is a plus.
  • Experience using a hand held scanner is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Drives truck to destination.
  • Complies with all safe operating instructions.
  • Inspects truck for defects before and after trips and fills out report indicating truck condition.
  • Reports anything that does not pass inspection or is a safety hazard to shift lead, management, and maintenance.
  • Maintains driver log according to regulations.
  • Operates forklift or uses hand truck to move, unload, load, stack or unstack materials or product.
  • Assists in loading and unloading trailers.
  • Uses WMS handheld and/or Obeer to transfer beer and other materials to/from the brewery.
  • Monitors SAP and WMS systems for inventory transfer requests.
  • Ensures all departments have necessary materials that have been requested from warehouse to brewery or brewery to warehouse.
  • Communicates with other departments regarding material requests if necessary.
  • Maintains method of inventory rotation (first IN/first OUT).
  • Cleans/sweeps tractor cab interior and trailer floor as needed.
  • Performs cleaning duties in relation to Good Brewery Practices (GBP) and the warehouse Master Sanitation Schedule (MSS).
  • Will periodically be asked to backfill other duties of Shipping and Receiving Clerk.
