About The Position

As a Warehouse and Driver Technician, your time is split between being a Non-CDL driver and a warehouse associate. In the warehouse, your responsibilities include shipping/receiving orders, quality control, inventory control, and other warehouse-related logistics. As a Non-CDL driver, your responsibilities include ensuring the timely delivery of goods to customer sites as needed or as part of a pre-defined route, reviewing orders prior to delivery to verify accuracy, and loading and unloading goods. This role involves driving, delivering, and picking up using Encore-owned, leased, or rented trucks with a gross vehicle weight of less than 26,001 lbs. You will be responsible for obtaining and maintaining a medium-duty DOT certification as required by state law (non-CDL). The Warehouse and Driver Technician will report to the Supervisor, Warehouse Operations or the Manager, Warehouse Operations.

Requirements

High School diploma/GED
Must be 21 years of age to drive Encore trucks.
1 to 3 years’ experience in warehouse environment
Drive trucks with a Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) under 26,001 lbs.
Clean driving record and valid Driver’s license with minimum of 2 years driving experience.
General knowledge of vehicle inspection and maintenance
Proficient using GPS and other routing systems
Ability to drive or sit for long hours at a time
Ability to lift over 50 lbs. independently
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
Strong communication skills with other team members, site leadership team and internal and external customers
Organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to multi-task while working in a fast-paced environment
Basic computer skills with an emphasis on Microsoft Office

Nice To Haves

Experience using an RF based WMS system
Experience operating industrial forklift equipment
Experience with DOT regulations and telematics electronic ELD logs

Responsibilities

Accurately receive, ship, and label product, pick up product from inventoried locations and pack orders efficiently and accurately for delivery to venues and/or other warehouses.
Perform basic quality control (QC) procedures, presentation of equipment and inventory control.
Drive Encore-owned, leased, or rented vehicles including vans and box trucks with a gross vehicle weight of less than 26,001 lbs.
Maintain set routes and schedules as directed by their supervisor to meet customer expectations.
Load and unload vehicles.
Review orders for accuracy during both delivery and pickup to ensure all items are accounted for.
Ensure contents are properly secured inside of truck to prevent breakage or damage to gear.
Obey all applicable traffic laws and drive according to the weather/road conditions.
Complete a manual and/or electronic logbook, based on assigned region.
Prepare and process shipments to ship small parcel, LTL and via internal fleet.
Operate industrial powered forklifts including (i.e., Sit-down, reach, stock picker, and powered pallet jack).
Ensure timely and safe delivery of products to the designated locations.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
Perform daily checklists on forklifts and other equipment within the warehouse.
Participate in safety team initiatives.
Adhere to all safety protocols and transportation regulations while operating vehicles.
Clean and maintain a safe work area.
Maintain equipment as necessary.
Ensure the highest standards of service while maintaining operation efficiency and a cohesive relationship with other departments.
Maintain a working knowledge of equipment.
