About The Position

Curated Events is a market leader in event rental services. We’re an award-winning team of event production pros, specializing in tents, linens, and design-forward event rental essentials. Our team works hand in hand with the area’s top venues, caterers, planners, designers, businesses, and universities. Our mission is simple: Service. Selection. Style. Delivered. Shop driver is a warehouse employee who is authorized to drive vehicles for See-Hear Productions and is utilized for any tasks that require transportation. These tasks include, but are not limited to, RPO pickups, gear deliveries to show sites, and load-in/out for shows. While not operating vehicles or assigned related tasks, the ‘Shop Driver’ fulfills the role of ‘Warehouse Tech’ and is expected to operate fully in that capacity, under the direction of the Logistics Coordinator and/or Warehouse Supervisor.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Class D CDL or higher is required.
  • Problem solving skills.
  • Must be able to work in a team environment while being an independent thinker.
  • Strong verbal communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in a warehouse setting is desired but not required.
  • Forklift certification is desired but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport gear between company locations (vendors, warehouse, job sites, etc.)
  • Follow all applicable traffic laws and safety procedures.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections; report any mechanical issues to the Logistics Coordinator.
  • Safely load and unload cargo while ensuring items are secured properly.
  • Plan and/or adhere to assigned routes and meet delivery schedules using GPS or route planning software.
  • Adhere to all DOT and company regulations regarding hours of service, safety, and documentation.
  • Maintain accurate records of mileage, fuel usage, hours of service, safety, and pickup/delivery logs (e.g., ELD systems, fuel receipts, FLEX paperwork, etc.)
  • Communicate effectively with Logistics Coordinator and Warehouse Supervisors/Managers regarding discrepancies of pickup/returns, arrival and departure times from each assigned stop, deviations of time and travel assignments (traffic delays/accidents, vendor delays, route detours, etc.), begin and end of break periods, and delivery of items to proper warehouse and delivery of associated paperwork to designated person.
