About The Position

Famous Supply is seeking Warehouse/Driver associates for its new branch in Indianapolis, IN. Warehouse/Driver associates are responsible for both warehouse and driving duties, including unloading trucks, receiving and putting away material, picking and staging customer orders, loading delivery trucks, and making deliveries to customer locations using a 26-foot box truck with a lift gate. Drivers will assist in loading their trucks, review orders for accuracy, and handle large products such as water heaters, furnaces, and showers. When not driving, associates will assist in warehouse tasks. Famous Supply is a wholesale distributor serving contractors, builders, and remodelers in various segments and has been a family-owned business since 1933, committed to treating associates like family.

Requirements

Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
Ability to stand on feet for majority of an 8 hour day
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to drive large vehicles
Acceptable driving record
Must be lawfully authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

Unloading trucks
Receiving material
Put-away of material
Picking customer orders
Staging customer orders for delivery
Loading customer delivery trucks
Make deliveries to customer shops and/or job sites using a 26-foot box truck with a lift gate
Assist with the loading of their truck
Review orders prior to delivery to ensure accuracy
Assist in the warehouse when needed
Ensuring product is handled with care to prevent damage
Attention to detail to ensure warehouse tasks are done accurately
Keeping warehouse clean, neat and organized
Use Smartphone to navigate to stops on-time
Unload materials for customer
Verify delivery for accuracy
Provide friendly and helpful customer service
Pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections
