About The Position
This role is responsible for ensuring product safety and quality through various shipping and receiving duties. The driver will verify and keep records of incoming and outgoing shipments, compare information against shipping documents, and determine the best shipping methods, routes, and rates. Responsibilities also include unpacking and inspecting shipments, handling damages and shortages, operating lift trucks or hand trucks for moving goods, pulling orders, shelf stocking, and hauling loads between warehouses and to local customers.
Requirements
- Valid commercial driver license.
- CDL class A.
- No driving infractions.
Responsibilities
- Ensure product safety and quality.
- Verify and keep records on incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Compare identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records.
- Determine method of shipment, utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates.
- Unpack and examine incoming shipments, reject damaged items, record shortages, and correspond with shipper to rectify damages and shortages.
- Operate lift truck or use hand truck to move, convey, or hoist shipments from shipping-and-receiving platform to storage or work area.
- Pulling orders and shelf stocking.
- Haul loads to and from TRD to TRD Warehouse and to local customers.
