About The Position

Habitat for Humanity of the Charlotte Region is seeking a Full-Time Warehouse/Donation Center Assistant to join their team. This role is crucial in supporting families and strengthening neighborhoods by assisting customers with donations and purchases, and maintaining an organized donation dock and back room. Requirements

Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted; lifts exceeding 50 lbs will require additional assistance.
Ability to work outdoors in all climates.
Ability to obtain Forklift Certification and operate a forklift on a regular basis.
Ability to climb steps to Forklift cab.
Ability to move and stand for extended periods of time.
Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

Assist customers in unloading donations and loading purchases.
Keep the back room and donation dock organized by efficiently moving merchandise to and from the sales floor.
Ensure that each customer and donor receive outstanding service.
Guarantee safe and prompt loading and unloading of customers' donated or purchased merchandise.
Guarantee safe and prompt loading and unloading of ReStore trucks.
Maintain safe procedures while moving merchandise to and from the sales floor.
Inform customers of the donation acceptance policy and refer donors to alternate options for items that are not accepted.
Be knowledgeable about the company’s products and services, and customer-related policies.
Be an effective team member when working with staff and volunteers.
Utilize forklift as required.
