About The Position

The Warehouse Dock Worker handles warehouse shipping and receiving activities, including processing incoming stock and materials, picking and filling orders, packing and shipping orders, and organizing and retrieving stock. The role may involve operating manual or powered equipment such as forklifts, order pickers, pallet jacks, and hand trucks. The position is not responsible for supervising employees.

Requirements

Up to 1 year of work-related experience.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Basic computer skills.
Ability to communicate basic messages orally, write brief messages, and keep simple records.
Ability to follow standard procedures and clear directions for simple, repetitive problems, without decision-making responsibility.
Ability to use guidance and guidelines provided by a supervisor or manager and work from assignments and priorities they provide.
Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
Ability to perform the physical activities listed for the role, including occasional standing, walking, pushing, pulling, squatting, bending, reaching, stair climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or sitting for extended periods.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or GED.
Experience in a warehouse or similar work environment.
Prior experience operating PIT equipment, such as a forklift or order picker.

Responsibilities

Receive and put away inbound product in designated locations.
Pick or pull correct products from appropriate locations and deliver them to the staging area or delivery truck.
Operate manual or powered equipment to transport products throughout the warehouse.
Sort and place parts and supplies on racks, shelves, or in bins according to a predetermined sequence.
Maintain orderliness and housekeeping in assigned work areas.
Comply with established company policies and procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned.
