About The Position

DSV is seeking a Warehouse Dock Coordinator for their 1st shift position. This role involves picking orders using a pallet jack, ensuring accuracy and efficiency, and staging products in appropriate areas. The position also includes quality control responsibilities, such as verifying products and orders against documentation, ensuring they meet quality standards, and reporting any damages or discrepancies. Associates are responsible for maintaining a clean and orderly work area, complying with all safety protocols, Standard Operating Procedures, and OSHA/SDS Standards. Equipment used may include a pallet jack, and associates are responsible for its upkeep and safe operation. The role also involves performing or assisting in building, grounds, and equipment maintenance as assigned. This is a full-time position with a compensation range of $19.75-$22.50 per hour.

Requirements

  • Must have a high school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • English (reading, writing, verbal).
  • Basic to intermediate level mathematical skills to verify quantities of product, count inventory, or perform other duties associated with handling, storing, and distributing client products.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to accomplish job tasks in a timely manner.
  • Ability to perform duties with minimal supervision or guidance.
  • Ability to effectively adapt to change and thrive in a stimulating, fast-paced work environment.
  • Must be able to work in unregulated temperatures within the warehouse during the warmer and colder months can range from mild to moderate.

Nice To Haves

  • 6 months experience working in a warehouse/logistics/distribution environment
  • Current or prior MHE certification

Responsibilities

  • Using a pallet jack to accurately pick orders to fulfill client demands.
  • Efficiently and accurately picking products and staging in the appropriate areas.
  • Stacking, packaging, banding, shrink wrapping, and labeling products as determined by client requirements.
  • Processing all picking functions as defined by the Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Using the appropriate documentation to ensure that all products and orders are received, handled, and shipped correctly.
  • Verifying that products and/or orders meet quality standards, including reporting any damages or discrepancies.
  • Stacking, packaging, shrink wrapping, and labeling products.
  • Processing all quality control functions as defined by the Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Executing all safety protocols and accomplishing all job tasks in a manner that promotes safety.
  • Maintaining cleanliness and orderliness of the facility and work area.
  • Complying with all Standard Operating Procedures, corporate and site-specific policies, safety rules, and OSHA/SDS Standards.
  • Operating equipment such as a pallet jack in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Responsible for the upkeep of equipment and reporting of equipment problems.
  • Performing or assisting in building, grounds, and equipment maintenance as assigned.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.
  • Working overtime as dictated by business whether mandatory or voluntary.
