Warehouse Distribution Specialist 3rd Shift Order Picker
About The Position
The Distribution Specialist is responsible for accurately counting and picking products being distributed to customers. This role involves assisting in the setup of new distribution lines, accurately counting and picking products per customer invoice or pick ticket, and ensuring the correct placement of memos and labels in boxes. The position also requires tracking shortages/overages, assisting with line cleanup, and shipping boxes via UPS & RPS. The job description is not exhaustive and duties may change. The role requires adaptability, the ability to manage multiple tasks, and responsiveness to changing priorities.
Requirements
- Ability to accurately count a variety of products
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to lift 30 to 50 lbs. repetitively
- Ability to work within established time and quality control goals for this area
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently
- Ability to learn and master new tasks quickly
- Ability to effectively communicate, both orally and in writing, with coworkers, managers, and customers
Responsibilities
- Assists in set up of new distribution lines as required
- Counts and/or picks products per customer invoice or pick ticket.
- Responsible for placing the appropriate memo in each box and pushing each box through the tape machine
- Responsible for placing the corresponding shelf labels for peggable products in the box with the product when picked.
- Shortages/overages are kept track of as they occur. Pickers count the remaining product in their section
- Assists with clean up of line and surrounding areas
- Ships boxes by UPS & RPS
- Provides assistance in other work-related areas as required.
- Performs other associated duties as assigned
