Warehouse/Delivery (Full Time)
About The Position
Morrison Healthcare is hiring a full-time Warehouse/Delivery associate at VCU Health in Richmond, Virginia. The position performs warehouse functions such as receiving, picking, pulling, and loading materials, and drives a company vehicle to transport products, supplies, mail, and cash to and from designated destinations. The role requires safe handling of goods, inventory monitoring, care of perishable products, vehicle checks and records, and compliance with company safety standards. The schedule is full time with AM shifts; days and hours may vary, and rotating weekends are included. The fixed pay rate is $17.60 per hour. A $500 sign-on bonus is offered, paid half at 30 days and half at 90 days. Free parking is available.
Requirements
- One year of previous warehouse, stocking, and inventory experience.
- Experience with forklifts and power jacks.
- A valid driver's license, as required for the vehicle used under state or federal requirements.
Nice To Haves
- One year of previous food service stocking experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Withdraw merchandise and supplies from the warehouse.
- Verify loads against orders and prepare delivery tickets or shipping papers when applicable.
- Load products, supplies, mail, and cash onto the vehicle; drive to designated locations; unload and distribute items as instructed.
- Pick up products, supplies, and cash funds for return to the branch or another designated location; obtain and approve receipts or delivery slips.
- Return to the warehouse and unload the vehicle, distributing returned items as directed.
- Collect empty containers and unsold merchandise for return to the warehouse or disposal.
- Monitor product usage and make adjustments to control inventory turns.
- Ensure proper handling of perishable products and maintain refrigeration of food and beverages.
- Secure cash and property by locking unattended vehicles, securing funds in a locked safe, and securing keys and the vehicle at the end of the shift.
- Unload and clean trash from the vehicle, perform daily vehicle operational checks, maintain the truck log according to state and federal regulations, report vehicle problems, and secure keys and the vehicle.
- Perform the job safely while adhering to company safety standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
