As the Warehouse & Delivery Lead, you will play a key role in supporting the daily operations of our warehouse while ensuring materials, tools, and equipment are accurately received, organized, staged, and delivered to support customer projects and field technicians. This is a hands-on position that combines warehouse operations, inventory control, logistics, and delivery coordination. The ideal candidate is dependable, highly organized, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. You enjoy taking ownership of warehouse operations, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring field teams have everything they need to be successful.

Requirements

  • 2–4 years of warehouse, logistics, inventory control, or delivery experience.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Experience receiving shipments, maintaining inventory accuracy, staging materials, and coordinating deliveries.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Valid New York State Driver's License with a clean driving record for the past 12 months.
  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physical warehouse responsibilities.
  • Comfortable using inventory software, spreadsheets, email, and basic computer applications.
  • Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions while making deliveries.
  • Must successfully pass a drug screening and background/fingerprint check.
  • Reliable transportation and excellent attendance.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting construction, low-voltage, security integration, electrical, or field service organizations.
  • Experience with inventory management software, handheld scanners, or ERP systems.
  • Knowledge of project-based inventory, job staging, and kitting.
  • Previous warehouse associate, logistics coordinator, or delivery driver experience.
  • Forklift or pallet jack experience is a plus.
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact professionally with customers, vendors, and field personnel.

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily warehouse activities including receiving, stocking, organizing, staging, loading, deliveries, returns, and material movement.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, safe, and efficient warehouse environment.
  • Store, label, and organize materials, tools, equipment, and company assets for easy access.
  • Follow established warehouse procedures for receiving, inventory management, job staging, deliveries, and returns.
  • Identify and report damaged materials, missing inventory, or warehouse concerns.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records for materials, parts, tools, equipment, and serialized assets.
  • Receive, inspect, verify, label, and stock incoming shipments.
  • Compare shipments against purchase orders and report shortages or discrepancies.
  • Perform cycle counts, inventory audits, and spot checks to maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Track inventory movement and ensure documentation is completed correctly.
  • Process returned materials for restocking or reporting.
  • Stage, kit, and prepare materials for scheduled installations and service calls.
  • Ensure project materials are complete, organized, and ready for pickup or delivery.
  • Coordinate with project managers, procurement, service teams, and technicians regarding material availability.
  • Respond to urgent material requests while maintaining accuracy and organization.
  • Communicate shortages, backorders, or damaged materials promptly.
  • Help ensure field teams receive the right materials to complete projects efficiently.
  • Deliver materials, equipment, and supplies to customer locations, vendors, and job sites.
  • Safely load, secure, transport, and unload materials.
  • Verify deliveries include the correct materials, quantities, packing slips, and documentation.
  • Provide delivery updates and communicate delays or site issues.
  • Obtain proof of delivery through signatures, photos, or required documentation.
  • Complete vendor pickups, returns, and emergency material runs.
  • Maintain company delivery vehicles in a clean and safe condition.
  • Support warehouse operations by assisting team members with daily priorities.
  • Help maintain efficient workflows and ensure work is completed accurately and on schedule.
  • Share knowledge of warehouse procedures and inventory best practices.
  • Communicate operational concerns, inventory shortages, and process improvements to management.
  • Follow OSHA guidelines and company safety procedures.
  • Practice safe lifting, loading, unloading, and material handling techniques.
  • Perform basic vehicle inspections before deliveries.
  • Maintain warehouse equipment including pallet jacks, carts, ladders, and hand trucks.
  • Report damaged equipment, vehicle concerns, or safety hazards immediately.
