About The Position

Thompson Truck Group is seeking a dependable, motivated Warehouse & Parts Delivery Associate to join their Cookeville team. This position combines warehouse operations with customer deliveries, making it ideal for someone who enjoys variety, staying active, and contributing to a team-focused environment. In this role, you will be responsible for shipping and receiving, inventory control, parts stocking, and delivering parts to customers throughout the region. Requirements

  • Valid driver's license with a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
  • Must be at least 21 years of age and able to meet DOT requirements for interstate travel.
  • DOT certification required or ability to obtain.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Basic computer skills and experience with inventory management systems.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
  • Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous warehouse, shipping/receiving, inventory, or parts experience preferred.
  • Previous delivery driving experience preferred.
  • Forklift experience preferred; certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Verify and maintain all picking tickets for accuracy.
  • Place daily parts orders and process stock orders.
  • Receive, stock, and post incoming inventory.
  • Notify customers and departments when special-order parts arrive.
  • Return obsolete parts and ensure proper documentation and credits.
  • File shortages and damage claims with vendors and carriers.
  • Assist with inventory control, cycle counts, and annual inventory processes.
  • Maintain accurate electronic inventory and parts records.
  • Keep the warehouse and parts department clean, organized, and safe.
  • Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment safely.
  • Assist parts counter personnel as needed.
  • Work with vendors and carriers to secure competitive freight rates.
  • Deliver parts and products to customers within a designated service area.
  • Ensure timely, accurate, and professional delivery of all orders.
  • Load, unload, and transport parts safely and efficiently.
  • Maintain delivery paperwork and inventory accuracy.
  • Provide excellent customer service while representing Thompson Truck Group.
  • Perform routine vehicle inspections and report maintenance concerns.
  • Operate company vehicles in accordance with DOT regulations and company safety standards.
