Vertical Cold Storage is looking for an experienced Customer Service Representative to join our team. Requirements

  • High school diploma or its equivalent
  • 2-3 years customer service or warehouse office experience
  • Strong computer skills in Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Attention to detail
  • Problem solving abilities
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to read and write English

Nice To Haves

  • Prior warehouse/distribution experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Act as liaison between the warehouse and the customer, responding to inquiries, processing orders, and handling complaints promptly and courteously.
  • Report any customer feedback or signs of dissatisfaction to management.
  • Check drivers in/out, assign doors, and notify the warehouse of arrivals and schedules.
  • Accurately enter receipts for product into the system, following procedures and customer instructions.
  • Finalize receipts to confirm counts, verify discrepancies, document them, and ensure accurate product location in the system.
  • Validate order entry accuracy according to procedures and customer instructions, and communicate effectively with warehouse staff and affected personnel.
  • Ensure product is allocated to orders per customer instructions and properly processed and shipped from the WMS system.
  • Accurately bill customers for services in a timely fashion based on established tariff rates and negotiated rates.
  • Resolve problems by clarifying issues, selecting and explaining solutions, expediting corrections or adjustments, and following up to ensure resolution.
  • Prepare reports by collecting, analyzing, summarizing, and distributing information per customer and/or company procedures.
  • Operate a multi-line phone system, ensuring expedient and courteous responses.
  • Maintain inter and intra-departmental workflow by fostering cooperation.
  • Maintain a safe working environment by following safety rules and regulations.
  • Support management with assigned duties to assist in the facility's business.
