About The Position

FHI is seeking an experienced Warehouse Crane Resolution Operator for the 2nd shift. This role is crucial for maintaining the maximum throughput and uptime of the Automated Storage and Retrieval System (ASRS). The operator will monitor crane operations via computer, identify and resolve pallet location errors, and troubleshoot system issues. The position involves physically demanding work in a warehouse setting, including traveling around the warehouse on a buggy equipped with a laptop to use the EMS control center for monitoring and resetting cranes. This is a full-time, permanent position with opportunities for development and promotion.

Nice To Haves

  • Warehouse experience preferred but not required.
  • Prior experience as a warehouse associate is preferred.
  • Experience working in a warehouse environment (e.g., order selector/picking product storage, product staging, powered pallet jack/forklifts, etc.).
  • Working with racking systems and loading/unloading pallets (e.g., pulling and placing pallets on/off vertical product racking systems and trucks, maximizing storage by stacking products vertically, etc.).

Responsibilities

  • Monitor crane operations via computer screens, identifying and resolving any pallet location errors or system alerts.
  • Investigate and troubleshoot issues related to crane pickup and delivery to stations.
  • Inspect and remove any plastic, cardboard, or other debris from pallets that could interfere with crane functionality.
  • Collaborate with crane mechanics and maintenance teams to resolve ongoing operational issues.
  • Ensure the safe and efficient operation of the system, meeting both production and safety goals in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
  • Perform all assigned tasks efficiently and accurately to meet daily productivity and quality targets.
  • Travel around the warehouse on a three- or four-wheel buggy equipped with a laptop.
  • Use the EMS control center on the laptop to monitor crane status, identifying any error alerts (displayed in red).
  • Review error descriptions and determine the cause of the issue with the crane.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues to restore crane functionality.
  • Reset the crane via the EMS control center to bring it back into operation.
