About The Position

QC Supply is hiring a Full-Time Warehouse & Counter Sales Associate in Washington, Iowa. This 40-hour-per-week role combines customer service, parts sales, and warehouse responsibilities. You will assist walk-in customers, manage showroom inventory, and fulfill orders. Benefits include medical, dental, 401(k) match, and PTO. As a Warehouse & Counter Sales Associate at QC Supply, you will play a key role in our Washington, Iowa branch. You will help maintain accurate warehouse inventory while providing excellent service to showroom customers. As a customer-facing representative of QC Supply, you will assist customers in person and by phone, identify their needs, recommend parts, and help ensure products move smoothly from arrival to delivery. Requirements

  • Physical readiness: Ability to safely lift and carry up to 50 lbs. unassisted and stay active throughout the shift.
  • Technology skills: Comfort using computers, portable scanning tools, and general office equipment.
  • Customer-first mindset: Strong communication and multitasking skills to balance warehouse duties with face-to-face sales and service.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • At least one year of warehouse or distribution experience preferred, ideally with inventory control knowledge.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to drive a company vehicle, if needed.
  • Current forklift certification with experience operating stand-up and sit-down lifts.
  • Proficiency with portable warehouse technology and Microsoft Office
  • Customer focus: Provides prompt, respectful service and works to resolve customer needs effectively.
  • Organization and adaptability: Prioritizes tasks, manages multiple responsibilities, and adjusts well to changing needs.

  • Ability to work at least 40 hours per week, with flexibility for occasional overtime.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous warehouse, distribution, or agricultural industry experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right person.
  • Forklift certification is a strong plus.
  • Familiarity with agriculture, related parts, and equipment is a plus.
  • Willingness to keep learning and building product and industry knowledge.

Responsibilities

  • Manage inventory: Receive, stage, stock, and organize incoming products while keeping the inventory management system accurate.
  • Fulfill orders: Pick, pack, and prepare customer, vendor, and internal orders for safe, timely shipping.
  • Support counter sales: Assist walk-in customers, process payments, and provide knowledgeable guidance on agricultural and equipment parts.
  • Provide customer support: Answer incoming calls, respond to inquiries, and share current product offers or promotions.
  • Maintain the facility: Help keep warehouse, stockroom, and retail areas clean, organized, and safe.
  • Receive and record shipments: Verify incoming freight and enter receipts accurately in the inventory management system.
  • Organize stock: Stage, stock, and place incoming products in assigned warehouse bin locations.
  • Fulfill orders: Pick, pack, and prepare customer, QC site, and vendor orders for secure, timely shipment.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy: Complete cycle counts and physical inventories while helping prevent shortages.
  • Keep work areas safe and organized: Maintain clean, orderly warehouse, stockroom, and facility workspaces.
  • Assist walk-in customers: Greet customers, understand their needs, and help them identify the right industrial or agricultural products.
  • Support phone orders: Process orders, answer product questions, and provide professional, solution-focused service.
  • Share product knowledge: Explain product uses, recommend options, and communicate current sales or promotions.
  • Maintain retail displays: Transfer stock to the retail area and keep shelves neat, organized, and appealing.
  • Use systems and equipment: Process transactions through POS systems, operate office equipment, and use computer software efficiently.
  • Support the team: Maintain a positive, helpful attitude and assist with team needs or other duties as assigned.
