Building Our Wireless World, Together®. Cable Team Coordinator – Distribution Team An exciting leadership opportunity is available at Tessco for a Cable Team Coordinator within our Distribution Team. This role is ideal for a hands-on coordinator who takes ownership of safety, quality, and productivity while ensuring best-in-class service to our customers. The Cable Team Coordinator is responsible for assisting the cable team, setting expectations, supporting and training team members, and ensuring work is executed accurately, safely, and efficiently.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
  • Physical stamina to handle heavy materials and repetitive tasks.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior warehouse or distribution center experience preferred.
  • Cable handling or cutting experience strongly preferred.
  • Forklift and powered industrial equipment experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead by example and influence others on the floor.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support day-to-day cable and distribution operations.
  • Set clear expectations for safety, quality, accuracy, and productivity.
  • Train, coach, and mentor team members on cable processes, equipment usage, and best practices.
  • Serve as a point of escalation for operational issues and help resolve them in real time.
  • Foster a positive, collaborative, and accountable team culture.
  • Partner with supervisors and leadership to support staffing, workflow planning, and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee and perform cable receiving, storage, cutting, re-reeling, staging, and distribution.
  • Ensure accurate measurement, cutting, labeling, and handling of wire and cable products.
  • Inspect cable inventory for quality, damage, and compliance with standards.
  • Utilize RF scanners and warehouse systems to maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Ensure work areas are organized, clean, and compliant with safety standards.
  • Safely operate forklifts, order pickers, cable cutting machinery, and other warehouse equipment.
  • Lead by example in safe work practices and physical job requirements.
