The Warehouse Coordinator is responsible for a team of operators conducting general warehouse activities, including inventory sorting, put away, and packing of orders using warehouse systems and equipment. This role is a working member of the team and will have operational assignments as required. The Coordinator will ensure execution of productivity goals for the team while engaging each operator to work safely, accurately, and in a cost-effective manner. Additionally, as a people leader the expectation is to promote continuous process improvements and build a culture centered around employee engagement and LS&Co values. About the job: Lead non-exempt employees to manage workflow and achieve daily objectives within set metrics. Up to 95% of time on warehouse floor. Ensure the work group executes daily tactical plans focused on safety, costs, and workforce requirements – including performance metrics. Prepare materials to communicate work group performance results. Create a safe working environment for all team members by ensuring the site is compliant with all federal, state, local, and LS&Co safety standards. Consistently administer policies and procedures around health & safety, time & attendance, productivity, and all other programs as required – including navigating appropriate systems for compliance tracking Attend daily production meeting and participate in pre-shift health & safety requirements (i.e., stretching, ensuring proper PPE) Complete pre/post shift inspection of assigned work area and/or equipment Communicate workflow improvement opportunities to Production Planning or other cross functional teams, and participate in testing or implementation as required Coach work group to understand how their activities support other teams, DC metrics, and LS&CO business objectives Perform related tasks or complete special projects that align to the site and company’s strategic business plans Mentor team members
