About The Position

Responsible for operating a forklift in the warehouse, observing all safety regulations, and ensuring all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and quality standards are met while maintaining the efficient flow of product through the production process. Schedules and confirms all receiving and shipping for the site. Provides administrative support for this area, including communication, paperwork, and system data entry. Functions as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and performs any duties assigned to best serve the company. Performance Foodservice, PFG’s broadline distributor, maintains a unique relationship with a variety of local customers, including independent restaurants and hotels, healthcare facilities, schools, and quick-service eateries. A team of sales reps, chefs, consultants, and other experts builds close relationships with customers — providing advice on improving operations, menu development, product selection, and operational strategies. The Performance team delivers delicious food but also goes above and beyond to help independent restaurant owners achieve their dreams.

Requirements

High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent Experience
6+ months warehouse shipping and receiving admin support and data entry

Nice To Haves

Ability to become EPJ certified within the new-hire training period
Ability to work in multi-temperature environments (dry, cooler, freezer)

Responsibilities

Operate a stand up forklift as needed by the night shift operation.
Schedules and confirms all receiving and shipping for site.
Read and interpret a lot of information quickly and efficiently in a fast paced work environment.
Provides administrative support for this area including the communication, paperwork and system data entry.
May move and prep trailers for loading and shipping.
