About The Position

The Warehouse Coordinator is responsible for coordinating daily warehouse operations to ensure efficient receipt, storage, and distribution of materials and products. This role supports inventory management, maintains accurate records, and ensures compliance with safety and operational standards within the warehouse facility.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 2-4 years of warehouse or logistics coordination experience
  • Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory software
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for data tracking and reporting
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic mathematical skills for inventory calculations and reporting
  • Problem-solving abilities and proactive approach to operational challenges
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in warehouse environment
  • Understanding of warehouse operations, logistics processes, and inventory management principles
  • Knowledge of occupational safety standards and best practices
  • Familiarity with shipping carriers, documentation requirements, and transportation methods
  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily warehouse activities including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping of materials and products
  • Monitor workflow and adjust priorities to meet operational deadlines and service level agreements
  • Ensure proper handling, storage, and protection of inventory to minimize damage and loss
  • Maintain organized warehouse layout to optimize space utilization and operational efficiency
  • Perform regular inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies between physical counts and system records
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with procurement or supply chain teams regarding reorder requirements
  • Track and report on inventory accuracy metrics and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Assist with cycle counting programs and annual physical inventory processes
  • Maintain accurate records of all incoming and outgoing shipments using warehouse management systems
  • Prepare shipping documentation, labels, and reports as required
  • Process receiving documentation and verify shipment accuracy against purchase orders
  • Generate regular operational reports on warehouse activities and key performance indicators
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and standard operating procedures
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and report hazards or equipment malfunctions
  • Maintain clean and organized work environment in accordance with 5S or similar methodologies
  • Support incident reporting and investigation processes as required
  • Coordinate with warehouse staff, carriers, and vendors to ensure smooth operations
  • Communicate priorities and special handling requirements to team members
  • Assist with training new warehouse personnel on procedures and systems
  • Collaborate with other departments to resolve operational issues and improve processes
  • Coordinate maintenance and repair of warehouse equipment including forklifts and material handling devices
  • Monitor facility conditions and report maintenance needs to appropriate personnel
  • Ensure proper use and care of warehouse equipment by all staff
