About The Position

You will work at our distribution center providing support for our distribution operations. This includes filling out and reviewing paperwork, as well as inputting data into our system. This role entails working with multiple departments to process the necessary documentation to ensure order and shipment accuracies. Therefore you must be a strong communicator and extremely detail-oriented. You also must have experience working with computers and spreadsheets, and able to handle multiple projects at a time.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Operational and functional experience in shipping and receiving, and inventory control methods
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and ability to make independent judgments.
  • Ability to work rotating shifts in support of 24/7 operations
  • Ability and willingness to work in a team environment and interact effectively as a team contributor supporting company initiatives
  • Skills and ability to use PC and widely used software packages, i.e. Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and track appointments for the receipt of material into the plant; coordinate with delivery drivers as needed
  • Help to facilitate the unloading of materials and verify the accuracy of received goods against accompanying documentation
  • Process and record orders and help track inventory levels on some items
  • Coordinate UPS, TL, and LTL shipments to include order management, picking, and packaging
  • Participate in warehouse consolidation projects and any other duties needed to maintain accurate inventory and a neat and orderly warehouse
  • Place received items in designated storage locations, and ensuring proper organization and accessibility
  • Assist with formal inventory counts as needed (this may require weekend work once a month)
  • Utilize and interface with JD Edwards and RF to ensure inventory accuracy and control by following proper shipment protocol
  • Maintain daily work schedule for loaders
  • Develop and maintain information/filing systems and other duties pertaining to systems
  • Maintain office equipment and supplies
  • Follow all Federal, State, Corporate, Warehouse and Safety standards, policies, and guidelines
  • Foster a workplace environment consistent with the values and mission outlined by the leadership of company.
