About The Position

Responsible for processing all shipping paperwork and working with customers on order pick-ups. This role involves using customer portals to schedule drier pick-ups, controlling documentation such as BOLS, Shipping/Receiving forms, and Rejections, and inputting delivery information into MII to print BOLs. The clerk will also review shipping documents for errors, pull load information in MII, and maintain controlled documents appropriately for shipping functions. Additionally, the role includes receiving FedEx, UPS, etc. deliveries properly, updating the Warehouse Driver Sign Screen, and maintaining a GMP/AIB/SQF compliant work space. The position requires verifying all shipping paperwork is completed and accurate for the driver's signature, investigating or correcting errors with loads, and escalating issues as needed. Maintaining proper radio etiquette, directing non-conforming parts, supporting 5s and Process Improvement Initiatives, and following all Company policies and procedures, including Safety and Quality requirements, are also key responsibilities. The role also involves reporting accidents and near misses, exhibiting teamwork skills, and demonstrating problem-solving abilities in a continuous improvement environment. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

  • Ability to read, write and understand English.
  • Must have strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Must be fluent in Microsoft programs.
  • Must have strong customer service professionalism.
  • Must be able to obtain a PIT certification

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.
  • Previous work experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Pull load information in MII and review BOL details
  • File and maintain controlled documents appropriately for shipping functions
  • Receive FedEx, UPS, etc. deliveries properly
  • Update the Warehouse Driver Sign Screen with the appropriate information
  • Maintains GMP/AIB/SQF compliant work space
  • Verifies all shipping paperwork is completed and accurate for Driver to sign.
  • Investigates or corrects errors with loads, escalating issues
  • Maintain proper radio etiquette when using company radios, PA system and/or phone, business use only
  • Direct all non-conforming parts to the appropriate reprocess area.
  • Support 5s and Process Improvement Initiatives as needed
  • Follow Company policies and procedures including all Safety and Quality requirements and good manufacturing processes.
  • Report all accidents and near misses in a timely manner when they occur.
  • Exhibit teamwork skills and actively participate in team activities in a positive working environment.
  • Demonstrate problem solving skills in a work environment that is striving for continuous improvement.
