About The Position

The Assembly Kitting Clerk is the conduit between the plants planning and scheduling team and the different assembly areas within the facility. He/She is responsible to take the planning and scheduling file that is executed daily for each assembly are in the plant, i.e. – Upper Assembly area, Lower Assembly area, Clamming area, Blistering area, and Customization area; and to order the materials that are required for production. He/She will need to analyze the schedule in relation to what product is needed to be pulled first, to which area it is needed, and how many units are needed to maximize the efficiencies of the area with regards to the production run rate and staging capacity. The Assembly Kitting Clerk will need to monitor inventory in the assembly areas to ensure a steady replenishment of the materials to the lines until such a time that the work is complete. He/She will work with a team of auditors that are assigned to the different kitting areas and establish a verification process to ensure the product ordered is received, audited and placed in the assigned work area.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of experience in a fast-paced warehouse/production environment.
  • Excellent mathematical skills.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel programs.
  • Ability to oversee and direct a small staff.
  • Excellent attention to detail both written and in spreadsheets.
  • Ability to juggle multiple, competing priorities in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Must be assertive and analytical and able to work independently.
  • Must be able to work overtime and weekends as needed
  • High School Diploma or secondary GED minimum.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible to adhere to the cGMP Regulatory requirements.
  • Generate and initiate the pull list based on the priority of the plans planning/scheduling team.
  • Ensure that he/she orders enough products to maximize the plant’s efficiencies, based on line run rates and staging capacity.
  • He/she must be familiar with the detail of every component’s pallet unit configuration, to ensure the sufficient amount of product is ordered to maximize staging capacity and production run rates.
  • Monitor and verify inventory levels by kitting area and line through-put by components through the Assembly process.
  • Responsible to initiate the return of excess inventory from Assembly lines to the Warehouse.
  • He/She must maintain a constant communication with the Warehouse Supervisors/Managers with regards to critical, time sensitive requirements.
  • Must be able to communicate with the Receiving Supervisors/Managers for any product arriving that has critical, time sensitive requirements.
  • Responsible to ensure there is no product remaining in the kitting area.
  • He/She is responsible to verify with the Kitting auditors the actuals against the systems movements, specifically lot number, quantity and item.
  • Responsible to ensure excess inventory returning to the Warehouse has the correct lot number, description and quantity.
  • Responsible to record all movement of items with active ingredients.
  • Ability to oversee and direct a small staff.
