About The Position

The Warehouse Clerk works in the warehouse and production area of the facility. Their primary responsibility is to ensure the production team has all supplies necessary to perform their job responsibilities, take completed mail to the warehouse, shrink wrap skids, load mail on trucks and generate accurate packing slips and summaries for USPS and Pitney Bowes Presort. Their secondary responsibilities include but not limited to unloading trucks with materials, stocking the warehouse, maintaining the inventory system, maintaining the baler and keeping the work areas clean and organized.

Requirements

  • Able to read and interpret documents such as paperwork, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
  • Must have basic computer skills (data entry, etc.).
  • High School diploma or equivalent GED required.
  • Stand for long periods of time.
  • Operate motorized equipment safely.
  • Frequent bending and stooping required.
  • Able to lift 50 lbs. or more.
  • Ability to push large paper rolls.
  • Reliable transportation to and from work.
  • Use standard office equipment.
  • Must be able to maintain good attendance.
  • Must be willing to work overtime as needed, significant overtime may be required during busy periods (November/December/January).

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a shipping environment preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the production team has all supplies necessary to perform their job responsibilities.
  • Take completed mail to the warehouse.
  • Shrink wrap skids.
  • Load mail on trucks.
  • Generate accurate packing slips and summaries for USPS and Pitney Bowes Presort.
  • Unload trucks with materials.
  • Stock the warehouse.
  • Maintain the inventory system.
  • Maintain the baler.
  • Keep the work areas clean and organized.
  • Follow all OSHA safety standards for operating motorized pallet jacks, forklifts, reach trucks and clamp trucks.
  • Complete all work in a timely manner to meet carrier pick up times (USPS, PB, FedEx, UPS, DHL, Carrier).
  • Keep production areas stocked.
  • Assist with ordering necessary materials to ensure proper inventory levels.
  • Support production staff in all departments.
  • Follow all standard operating procedures and instructions relevant to the job, position and department accurately.
  • Follow established HIPAA, Compliance & Security policies & department policies, procedures, work instructions and safety and environmental guidelines.
  • Other duties as assigned.
