About The Position

Ryder is hiring a Warehouse Management System/Wave Planner in Owensboro, Kentucky. This position maintains and balances the inbound and outbound processes of the Warehouse Management System (WMS) to meet daily production needs, communicates promptly with other departments and leadership, and supports other warehouse operations as assigned. The role works with operations, inventory, on-site personnel, carriers, and customers to coordinate warehouse activity and resolve order issues.

The schedule rotates between three 12-hour workdays one week and four 12-hour workdays the next. Pay is $22.50 per hour, paid weekly. Ryder describes its facilities as clean, organized, and focused on safety. The company provides training and support, benefits, and safety gear.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years of warehouse experience.
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
• Working knowledge of WMS systems.
• Forklift experience.
• Equipment certification may be required, depending on location.

Responsibilities

• Support facility key performance indicators, meeting or exceeding goals for safety, quality, sanitation, and maintenance.
• Create and maintain daily dock schedules.
• Communicate with carriers to set appointments and update load statuses.
• Work with the Operations Supervisor to distribute workloads properly and evenly by managing WMS activity through the warehouse floor.
• Work with the inventory department and on-site personnel to resolve problems with the day's orders.
• Communicate order changes and updates to the customer.
• Maintain Excel spreadsheets and reports.
• Perform other duties as required or assigned.
