Requirements

Basic knowledge of material and parts used by automotive, electrical, mechanical and Transmission & Distribution operations.
Holder of a Class 5 Driver’s license with ability to operate vehicles in a responsible manner under all types of weather and traffic conditions.

Responsibilities

Issue material and parts over the counter, records and posts such issuances.
Calculates price, balances and maintains inventory counts and records.
Assists higher classification employees in sending and receiving shipments and maintaining records.
Physically takes inventory counts, moves, sorts and stocks materials and parts.
When required, delivers material and parts to job sites, or picks up material and parts from suppliers and operates vehicles permitted under Class 5 driver’s license.
Maintains good housekeeping inside and outside the warehouse by sweeping, dusting, cleaning, vacuuming shelves, bins, floors, and associated facilities; and clears snow, ice and debris outside the warehouse.
Assists in training new employees and employees of a lower classification.
Carries out other assignments related to the operation of the warehouse or stock control operation.
Observes Company and WorkSafeBC rules and regulations.
